Last weekend, I spent the entire day at my daughter’s baseball tournament ⚾ It was her very first time pitching—against a team of much older players. She was nervous. The pressure was real. But she stepped up to the mound anyway.

And she didn’t just pitch—she owned it.

No, her team didn’t win a single game. But guess what? She got MVP 🏆

Watching her out there—focused, fearless, and completely in it—I was overwhelmed with pride.

She reminded me of something I say often but sometimes need to witness to feel it fully:
Nothing grows in your comfort zone 🪴

Confidence isn’t built by doing what you’ve always done.

It’s built by showing up, stretching yourself, and doing the hard thing—even when the outcome is uncertain.

And just when I thought I couldn’t be more in awe of her… life handed her the next big challenge.

The following weekend, while up to bat, she was hit by a pitch and broke her thumb in two places 💔

She didn’t cry. She calmly told us she wanted to go to the hospital once her thumb started to swell.

🏥 A few days later, she had to have surgery because one of the breaks had moved the bone out of place.

We got home close to midnight. And what did she do the very next morning?

She got up and went to school 🏫

Bandaged hand. Little sleep. No complaints.

I was floored.

This is what courage looks like. This is what resilience looks like ❤️

This is what it means to build confidence—not by winning, but by trying. By facing fear. By saying, I’ll do it anyway.

Her story reminded me that growth doesn’t come from comfort—it comes from action 🎬

Messy, brave, imperfect action.

This week, I want to ask you:

👉 What bold move are you avoiding?
👉 Where are you choosing comfort over growth?
👉 What’s one brave step you could take—even if it scares you?

Confidence isn’t something you’re born with. It’s something you build—one courageous action at a time.

And you don’t have to do it alone.

📅 If you’re ready to stretch yourself—whether it’s speaking up more at work, going for the promotion, or finally putting yourself first—let’s talk.

You’ve got this. One bold step at a time.

Lots of love,
