Are you a morning person, or a night owl? When are you the most productive? What time of day is the best time for you to have sex?
Your CHRONOTYPE is your internal biological clock that influences your daily patterns of wakefulness and sleepiness.
According to “The Power of When” by Dr. Michael Breus, there are four different chronotypes:
- Bear: you wake up feeling refreshed and energized in the morning. Bears are most active during the day and experience a peak in energy and alertness in the late morning.
- Lion: you are an early riser who is at your best during the early morning hours. You’re highly productive and focused during the first part of the day but may experience an energy slump in the afternoon.
- Wolf: as a night owl, you come to life in the evening and night. You often struggle with early mornings and tend to be most creative and alert later in the day.
- Dolphin: you have an erratic sleep pattern, often experiencing insomnia or difficulty maintaining a consistent sleep schedule. You are intelligent and highly motivated but can be sensitive to stress.

I’m a lion 🦁 I wake up at 5am to workout and tackle the hardest items on my to-do list before my kids wake up. But I get so tired in the early evening that my social life takes a hit. The solution is to shift my workout to the early evening to give myself the necessary energy boost for socializing and staying up a bit later.
